In a heartwarming gesture of solidarity and generosity, the three winning teams of MAPFRE Malta recent team-building activity have decided to donate their €1000 prize to Hospice Malta, an NGO providing free patient-centered palliative care. This decision was made unanimously by the teams, who wanted to support an organization that provides continuous care to those in need. The teams chose to forgo a celebratory meal and instead contribute to a cause that makes a significant difference in the lives of many. The cheque was presented at Hospice Malta, on Thursday, 22nd August, to CEO Mr. Kenneth Delia and Ms. Alexia Demicoli, Chief Relations Officer, who greatly appreciated the donation. A group of team members got together to go in person to hand over the cheque and learn more about the good work this NGO does. They were deeply moved by the dedication and compassion shown by the staff and volunteers at Hospice Malta. The team was also given a first-hand tour of the new premises they are nearly finished with renovating, which aids in enhancing their mission in giving patients and their families a decent place where they could live the last moments of their life in dignity and, as much as possible, serenity. This act of kindness reflects MAPFRE employees’ commitment to community support and their appreciation for the work done by Hospice Malta. The team hopes that their contribution will help the organization continue its vital services. Well done to everyone involved for their generosity and thoughtfulness.
