The MAPFRE Week, which is a yearly project led by the company’s Human Resources area, is held this year from the 10th to the 14th of June.
This MAPFRE Week will be full of color to celebrate the fact that diversity has been added to health and well-being as a theme for this initiative, which last year saw employees from more than 740 countries taking part.
Diversity and inclusion are strategic topics for MAPFRE and that is why awareness-raising activities are organized throughout the Week on functional, cultural, generational and gender diversity. This MAPFRE Week includes two global activities: the first consists of a series of workshops on cultural diversity to prepare a global map containing the different cultural features and customs in employees’ workplaces in each country and the second is the “Healthy Selfie”, which enables employees to transmit their healthy habits over the week with the hashtag #MAPFREHealthWeek.
In Malta, company employees can participate in talks on health, well-being and diversity. The last day of the MAPFRE Week also sees the global activity “Donation MAPFRE 24 hours”, where on every 14th June MAPFRE joins up with the World Blood Donor Day, and the first MAPFRE Health run, which starts at the company’s head office in Majadahonda and follows a route around the Monte del Pilar in 3 different categories (10km, 5km and 5km walk).
Over these five days, the company will focus on promoting healthy lifestyles, support programs for fostering well-being and diversity, and prevention campaigns for the most common illnesses. The MAPFRE Week is an initiative that also engages with social commitment and value of the company and makes employees feel that they are part of a major company, boosting synergies between different areas and bringing together different teams.
