Employees of MAPFRE Malta spend some time helping out Inspire Foundation during their latest event which forms part of the volunteering programme.
During the event, employees helped out in some maintenance work of the park, in preparation for a Christmas Fair to be held in December, in order to generate funds for the Foundation. Tasks involved painting works, weeding and removal of grass and general cleaning.
Inspire Foundation helps children and adults with physical and intellectual disabilities reach their full potential. The foundation offers educational, therapeutic and leisure services at no cost or at a heavily subsidised rate, with the aim of helping these individuals live a high quality of life with a sense of achievement, whatever the disability. Inspire also works tirelessly to promote the rights of people with disability and to raise awareness about the importance of inclusion.
MAPFRE are regular supporters of Inspire Foundation, helping them out through financial and volunteering support throughout the year. In addition, Fundacion MAPFRE sponsors the running costs of the Multi-Sensory Theatres, a service being used by over 400 children and adults with a disability. The MSR Rooms were built purposely to help treat children and adults with Sensory Processing Disorder (SDP) – a condition in which an individual’s sensory signals do not get organised into appropriate responses, making everyday activities a challenge to perform.
“ Inspire does a sterling job within the community, helping people with a disability achieve their full potential. We are proud to be regular supporters,” Norman Mifsud, Chief Officer of HR at MAPFRE MSV Life said.
