MAPFRE Middlesea to give €1 donation to Pink October for every policy purchased
For the second consecutive year, MAPFRE Middlesea will be supporting the Pink October Malta campaign. During October 2016, the insurance company will be donating €1 for every new policy that is purchased.
MAPFRE Middlesea offers a wide range of insurance covers for both individuals and businesses, therefore it is expected that a generous donation will be collected by the end of the month. The donation will be contributed for all new policies purchased through all channels – agents, brokers and tied intermediaries.
“We truly believe in the importance of the Pink October Malta. Awareness is crucial to ensure high survival rates for patients diagnosed with breast cancer. We are happy to join other companies in giving our contribution towards this project,” Ana Zammit Munro, Marketing Manager at MAPFRE Middlesea said.
During this month, the company will also support the campaign by disseminating information related to breast cancer awareness through their various platforms.
Breast Cancer is the most common form of cancer in women in Malta, with one in every eight women expected to suffer from the disease through her life. However, the survival rate is much higher when cancer is diagnosed in its early stages. Breast cancer screening is an effort to detect cancer even before there are any symptoms.
Pink October Malta is coordinated by JPA in collaboration with Ministry of Health, the Marigold Foundation and the two main Breast Cancer Awareness organisations in Malta, The Action for Breast Cancer Foundation and Europa Donna. The Pink October 2016 campaign aims to raise €90,000 to be used for purchasing of medical machinery for breast cancer treatment.
MAPFRE Middlesea p.l.c. (C-5553) is authorised by the Malta Financial Services Authority to carry on both Long Term and General Business under the Insurance Business Act, 1998.
