A Personal Accident Cover helps to protect individuals and their families from financial hardship if the insured suffers a serious injury in an accident. The policy results in financial assistance in case the insured suffers permanent total or partial disablement or temporary total disablement. Such cases may include loss of one or more limbs or one or both eyes.
Furthermore, one may include any of the three available optional coverages for Travel Insurance. This section covers the insured and dependents for trips, each lasting up to a maximum of 180 days, be it for cancellation, abandonment, emergency, hospital expenses, delays, missed departures, hijack, loss of personal money, belongings and travel documents, rental vehicle excess and liability to others.
This policy is an annual renewable policy, with the Personal Accident and Travel covers remaining in force until the insured person or persons reach age 75 and the Funeral element lasting till eventual death.
