MAPFRE in Malta is thrilled to announce the success of its Global Volunteering Day for 2023 by partnering with Friends of the Earth Malta by supporting Comino’s natural environment with a beach clean-up activity.
The Global Volunteering Day is an annual event that embodies Fundación MAPFRE and MAPFRE’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and the betterment of the local community. Volunteers from both MAPFRE MSV Life and MAPFRE Middlesea participated in this inspiring project. Friends of the Earth Malta staff and volunteers led the clean-up of Comino and shared information about the organisation’s restoration of the island’s historic bakery. The volunteers’ dedication and hard work resulted in the collection of 22 garbage bags of waste from Comino, contributing to the restoration and preservation of this beautiful island’s environment.
The collaboration between MAPFRE in Malta and Friends of the Earth Malta not only highlighted the importance of environmental preservation but also underlined the impact that collective action can have on safeguarding our natural heritage.
