Fundación MAPFRE has revealed the winners of the 2024 Social Outreach Awards, recognizing global contributions to social impact and solidarity. The awards, with a total prize of 160,000 euros, will be presented on October 8 at the Casino de Madrid, in a ceremony presided over by Her Majesty Queen Sofía of Spain.
This year, 1,049 entries were submitted from various countries, with four winners selected for their exceptional efforts in advancing societal well-being:
- Núria Espert – Lifetime Achievement Award: Honoured for her distinguished career in theatre, film, and opera, and her dedication to social causes and mentoring young artists.
- Special Olympics – Best Organization for Social Impact: Recognized for promoting inclusion and empowerment of individuals with intellectual disabilities through sports and education.
- Moda re- – Best Social Impact Project: Awarded for its sustainable fashion initiative that recycles second-hand clothing and provides employment to vulnerable groups.
- Joselito – Best Initiative in the Agriculture Sector: Celebrated for its commitment to sustainable farming, rural development, and environmental conservation.
